Late night Dessert in the Metroplex.

Late night dessert in the Metroplex.

This is the time of year I love the most. The nights are still very warm, baseball is setting up for the World Series, football on all levels is under way. There are so many games to watch. The Rangers are leading in their division. The Cowboys are having a local pre-season game.

Barry and I decided to go out to dinner and watch the Rangers, and catch the Cowboys pre- season game. We set out for our comfort place to eat some wings and have some cocktails. The games are playing on about thirty screens throughout the bar. The whole place is loud and everyone is cheering on both teams.

The evening is warm, about 97 outside. So we open the sun roof and head down the tollway to this new hot spot for some dessert. We did not know what to expect. We drove up and there is a buzz in the parking lot. The Valets have most spots roped off, we see couples arriving and leaving. The attention to detail to greet people as they walked from their vehicles to the curb was spot on. The landscaping has low lighting to enhance the travel of the sidewalks. We knew we would be in for a treat before we even hit the door.

In the middle of the dinning room there is a glass wine closet. This closet goes from floor to ceiling. There is a couple of bar set up that are very chic and inviting. The kitchen faces out into the main dining room, not something you would expect but it totally works. The restaurant was buzzing with energy. The atmosphere was sexy, and private along with clean and contemporary. People all around were happy, engaged, sophisticated yet casual.

Our hostess seats us at a high backed booth, that provides a sense of intimacy. The table is lit with a candle and the place setting is clean white plates, along with tall stemmed wine glasses. Our server comes over to greet us and offers many choices. We were blown away by the atmosphere and the service.

Barry and I enjoyed a couple of desserts. Barry had a Apple Cake with maple Carmel gelato. The presentation was wonderful, and inviting. I indulged in a flour less chocolate torte, served with a maple pecan gelato. We enjoyed a glass of St.Michelle Riesling.

There was music playing in the background. i could not help but tap to the new Katy Perry hit, along with Bruno Mars playing one of their hits.

Then if you needed more visual  entertainment there was a big screen on the side wall  showing the Cowboy game.

Feel free to share some of your favorite dessert places. I will be sure to post some more of ours.
