Sexy desserts and Champagne for two

Happy Anniversary. Barry and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this summer. We have such busy schedules, working and bowling league, tournaments, and some light traveling.

We had made plans to have a quiet day,and dinner to celebrate. We had dinner at the house. Then we got dressed up and headed out for dessert. When we make these dessert dates we like to pick places where you get dressed up. We like the places where the desserts are out standing. The atmosphere is also important, we like the low lighting, music that is playing, and the energy in the room.

We both like the energy at one of the local restaurants. The hour was later then the dinner rush, so we were seated immediately. We walked in and were seated at a cozy table. The server was wonderful.

We announced that it was our anniversary and we were there for dessert. The server smiled and said we will make it special.

The server brings over the dessert tray that had eight delicious choices on it. Barry and I wanted them all, but we got it down to two. Barry had his eye on the Bourbon Bread Pudding topped with whipped cream. I picked out the delicious Carmel Pecan Cheesecake with fresh berries and whipped cream. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco.

We spent a lovely time sharing desserts, toasting our years together and enjoying the wine. In the picture you see our desserts and our glasses of bubbles. Happy Anniversary Barry.

Our son wanted to celebrate his birthday going out to dinner, then to the improv for some laughs. Dinner was delicious we ate at the famous Kobe Steak house.  We went across the parking lot to the comedy show. We decided to have dessert there. This little number caught my eye. This is a banana split sundae with lots of chocolate and whipped cream.

It seems everyone at the table felt they should partake in the consumption of this dessert. It was a hit and we had a blast that night. The company was great, the comedy was funny.

I am looking forward to more dessert dates, and will share them with all my friends. Tell me about your dessert dates. There are so many places here in the Metroplex to discover.

I think the next dessert I will  look for will be Bananas Foster.
